The Swapo party has reclaimed the Karasburg East Constituency after its candidate James Hawanga scored the highest votes of 1,422. 

The Grape Growers Association has highlighted several challenges facing the industry, such as restrictions preventing the export of selected products to neighbouring South Africa.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia's Returning Officer for Karasburg East Constituency in the ||Kharas Region, Cedric Thomas, has said it's all systems go for Wednesday's Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections.

The sleepy settlement’s residents are rationed water in the mornings, and some still rely on buckets or practise open defecation when nature calls.

With days to go before Wednesday's Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections, young eligible voters in the Karasburg East Constituency are calling on incoming leaders to make youth employment a top priority.

Residents in the Karasburg East Constituency say they are ready to vote in the upcoming Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections, despite concerns about inadequate water and sanitation services.
