Netball Namibia hosted national trials at the United Netball Courts in Windhoek to select a provisional Debmarine Desert Jewels squad for the Pent Series, which will be held from 12 to 16 August at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund.<
The Debmarine Desert Jewels Netball team clinched the bronze medal at the Pacific Netball Series held in Brisbane, Australia, from June 10 to June 15.
This was achieved after they beat Samoa 54-36 last week Saturday.
The Desert Jewels, Namibia's national netball team, lost their first game in the Pacific Netball Series to Samoa with a score of 55 to 74.
The match played in Brisbane, Australia, marked the start of the tournament which will run until June 15th.
The Namibian netball national team, better known as the Desert Jewels, departed for Brisbane, Australia, on Wednesday to participate in the Pacific Netball Series.
The Senior Netball team, the Desert Jewels, consisting of 14 local and South Africa-based players, are gearing up to compete in the African Netball Championships, also known as the Africa Netball Cup, in Botswana.
