Deputy Prime Minister John Mutorwa has launched Risk Profiles of Natural Hazards and Selected Diseases in Namibia. 

To shape the future of vending activities in the Tukondjeni market, well known as Stop and Shop, the City of Windhoek engaged the vending operators in that area regarding their operations.

The city has instructed the Stop n Shop vendors to clean the marketplace by next Sunday.

The Ministry of Urban and Rural Development organised emergency simulation exercises as part of the ongoing emergency reduction strategy to test the capacity of the local authorities for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery from disasters.

Deputy Prime Minister John Mutorwa has warned those selling food meant for drought relief that such acts are tantamount to crime.

Namibia took a significant step forward in disaster risk management with the official launch of the National Awareness and Communication Strategy for Disaster Risk Management, which will run from 2023 to 2027.

The strategy aims to address natural disasters and mitigate their effects in a timely manner.
