34 appear in court over alleged attack on Zambian President

Lungu, an elected MP for Chawama Constituency, has been missing sittings since her father died in South Africa. 

564 cholera patients discharged in Zambia

In Zambia, 564 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from cholera.

Of the initial 577 cumulative cases since the disease broke out in August, only four have remained hospitalised. Nine people have so far died from cholera.
