EFN appoints Dr. Shihomeka as new Media Ombudsman

The Editors’ Forum of Namibia (EFN) has announced the appointment of Dr. Sadrag Panduleni Shihomeka as Media Ombudsman. Dr. Shihomeka succeeds Dr. John Nakuta, whose term officially ended on 30 June 2025. His term will run from July 23, 2025, to July 22, 2028.

GIPF set to launch pension‑backed home loans

The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) has announced its readiness to launch its pension-backed home loan scheme.

Conceptualised in 2016 and approved by various regulatory channels in 2018, the scheme will enable GIPF members to leverage their pension savings to acquire homes or purchase land.
