The President of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP), Mike Kavekotora, has pledged to introduce a progressive inheritance tax of approximately 50% if elected to govern.

He made this announcement during the launch of the party's manifesto in Ongwediva.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) is conducting a mock verification exercise of its enhanced and upgraded Integrated Mobile Voter Registration System (IMVRS).

This exercise is a key step in the preparations for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Secretary of the Swapo Elders Council (SEC), Mukwaita Shanyengana, urged the council members to mobilise all the eligible voters to register to participate in the November elections. 

He said this during the Council's Central Committee meeting.

The position of Deputy Leader of the Landless People's Movement (LPM) remains vacant following the resignation of Henny Seibeb last month.
