The long-proposed dedicated Southern African Development Community (SADC) television channel is now at an advanced stage of being launched.

National media coordinators and development partners in Mauritius, Seychelles, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Comoros have been urged to intensify awareness and promotion of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Media Awards.

Former minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ben Amathila has praised the national broadcaster's contribution to nation-building and political stability.
