Zambezi farmers urged to brand and tag their cattle

Police in the Zambezi Region is urging farmers to brand and tag their cattle to easily identify and recover them when they are stolen.
 
The warning comes after a suspect was intercepted while attempting to cross into Zambia with five herds of cattle.

Farming communities at Omipanda village in the Otjombinde Constituency have received a helping hand from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform for the water woes. 

The ministry has provided them with water tanks and pipes and further intends to drill another borehole to remedy the situation.

NNFU constitution remains unchanged after review workshop

The Namibia National Farmers Union, NNFU constitution remains unchanged after members reviewed it at a five day workshop held at Otjiwarongo. 

NNFU is a national federation of regional farmer's unions established in 1992 to serve as a mouthpiece for Namibian farmers.

This is according to the Acting Surveyor-General in the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform, who has called for an update of such information.

The Director for Resettlement and Program Implementation, Alfred Sikopo, says the Ministry has full support from the traditional authorities to remove fences found to be illegal.
