Border post commanders undergo leadership training in Rundu

Border and infrastructure protection post commanders are attending a five-day training course on Leadership and Development at Rundu.

The training is attended by postcommanders from all 14 regions.

The Leadership and Development training course is the first of its kind.

16-year-old boy commits suicide at Nkurenkuru

A 16-year-old boy, Imran Ali Deyvali, reportedly committed suicide over the weekend at Nkurenkuru.

He was discovered hanging from a tree near Nkurenkuru Elcin Hospital.

The police said Deyvali used a belt to take his life.

Guinas councillor Elias Martinus dies at 51

Guinas constituency councillor Elias Barney Martinus (51) died this morning after a short illness in Tsumeb. 

The Swapo Party regional coordinator of Oshikoto Region, Armas Amukwiyu, confirmed Martinus' death.

Miss Earth Namibia left for Manila's 24th edition of Miss Earth competition

Reigning Miss Earth Namibia, Albertina Haimbala has left for Manila in the Philippines to participate in the 24th edition of the Miss Earth competition on the 9th of November.

Haimbala will compete for the coveted title of Miss Earth 2024 with other 80 contestants from across the globe.

CoW resolves to give land ownership to the Habitat self-help group

The City of Windhoek has resolved to give land ownership to the Habitat self-help group. 

The hundred-member group has been requesting the municipality for the title deeds for years. 

About 25 years ago, the group built 120 houses in Katutura's Hakahana residential area. 

Three dead and four injured in Kavango West collision

Three people died during a head-on collision along the B10 road in the Kavango West Region on Saturday, while four others were injured.

The fatal crash happened in the early hours of this morning at Nambi Village, situated along the B10 road.

Police station opens at Onamukulo in Ohangwena

Villagers in Onamukulo, located in Ohangwena's Omulonga Constituency, now have access to a new police station where they can report cases and receive timely assistance. The station was built at a cost of N$6.5 million.
