Ekundi Truck Drivers Strike Over Allowance Dispute

Truck drivers working for Ekundi Farming and Transport have downed tools after failed negotiations for an increase in allowances. 

The company is offering N$170 a month for food, while the drivers are demanding N$1,100. The workers are also demanding a 100% annual bonus and access to medical aid.

The late Bennett Kangumu was buried at Chisawo Village in the Zambezi Region.

Kangumu, who was the University of Namibia's Katima Mulilo campus director, died following illness.

Oranjemund TC honours LPM leader with street name

The Oranjemund Town Council has officially unveiled two new street names in Extension 4. One street has been named after the Leader of the Landless People's Movement (LPM), while the other honours the town of Omaruru.

Kap N Bou, Blikkiesdorp residents demand urgent action on basic services

Residents of Kap N Bou and Blikkiesdorp have petitioned the Grootfontien Municipality to act hastily on addressing the lack of proper sanitation, water, and electricity, clean up filthy streets, as well as address the lack of fire brigade services at the settlements.
