Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has launched the National School Rehabilitation Campaign at Mukuvi Primary School in the Kavango East Region.

The Association of Dependents of Veterans of Namibia (ADVN) held a demonstration in Windhoek demanding an amendment to the Veterans Act to accommodate benefits for children who were born in exile as well as dependents of war veterans.
 

Namibia will continue to support and stand firmly with nations seeking self-determination and independence and remains committed to honouring its multilateral obligations.
 
This position was reiterated by the Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.
 

The New Era Newspapers Chief Executive Officer Christof Maletsky called on Public Relations Officers (PROs) to build relations with journalists and media practitioners to build stronger bonds.

He made this call during a media engagement workshop.

The Namibian Institute for Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) has embarked on an initiative to take training courses to the regions in an effort to build a capable and effective public service and cut the distance for those who have to travel to the capital for such.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says she is satisfied with the progress made by some green schemes in the Kavango East Region.

The President visited Shadikongoro and Ndonga Linena on Thursday and said she noticed significant improvement in their operations.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah discussed development plans outlined in the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6) with traditional leaders in the Kavango East and West regions.

 She emphasised the crucial role the traditional authorities play in ensuring the welfare of Namibian citizens. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has questioned the Ministry of Agriculture’s decision to retain management of the Kalimbeza National Rice Project, instead of transferring it to the University of Namibia (UNAM) as she previously recommended.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah states that the government is committed to empowering the youth, advancing industrialisation, promoting the beneficiation of natural resources, and creating employment opportunities. 

A resettled commercial farmer at Okorukambe in the Omaheke Region, Agnes Tjiramba, has urged fellow farmers to come up with ways to address developmental challenges.

Retired nurse Tjiramba said agriculture has the potential to solve many socio-economic challenges.
