The Mayor of Luderitz, Benjamin Mckay, has hailed the just-ended annual Crayfish Festival at the southern harbour town as a success.

Mckay says this year's festival, which was held under the theme 'Our Ocean, Our Legacy', was bigger and better in every aspect compared to last year.

The Nest Four Star Hotel which was constructed at Luderitz 25 years ago has given the habour town a face-lift.

This is the site that was earmarked for the construction of a new harbour to accommodate larger vessels at Luderitz and is now where the state-of-the-art four-star hotel has been built.
