In a move to improve the welfare of educators, the Ohangwena Regional Governor, Kadiva Hamutumwa, handed over the construction site for a new teacher's accommodation facility at Helao Nafidi Combined School in the Okongo Constituency.

The project is estimated to cost N$1.4 million.

Erongo Marine donates food to 25 Ohangwena schools

Erongo Marine Enterprises has donated frozen fish and food items to 25 schools across the Ohangwena Region.

The donation, which comprises boxes of frozen horse mackerel, maize meal, dried meal packs and canned fish, will strengthen the schools' feeding programme.

The Ohangwena Region has recorded 3,768 cases of malaria and 11 deaths since the outbreak last year.

Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa said the region experienced a malaria outbreak at the beginning of 2024, which lasted into this year.
