During virtual panel discussion on Cultivating Strategic Diplomacy, Matundu says Africa can achieve a lot if all member state rectify the Africa Continental Free Trade Area.

Not many security threats experienced along Namibia's borders- Sampofu

According to Zambezi Governor Alufea Sampofu, not many security threats have been experienced along Namibia's borders in the region since last month, although stock theft is increasing from Namibia to Zambia.

The issue of illegal fishing on Lake Lyambezi is also escalating, and Sampofu says the region's residents are the culprits who employ foreigners to fish for them.

Farmers in the Zambezi Region want visible security along Namibia's borders as cases of stock theft keep increasing.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting by the Liselo-Kamenga Anti Stock Theft Association, Chairperson Vincent Siliye, said the government has not been active with regard to the safety of its citizens, especially in the Zambezi Region, where weekly cases of stock theft are being reported.

Most of the animals were recovered from Zambia, and Siliye says the incidents are not limited to stock theft.
