Commemoration ceremonies to mark 109 years of the battle of Sam !Khubis are underway in Rehoboth and its surroundings.

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has commended the NovaNam fishing company at Luderitz for adding value to local produce. 

She made the observation after a tour of the fish factory as part of her working visit to ||Kharas Region. 

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has applauded Namdeb for the efforts it has put in place to extend the life of the mine for another 20 years.

Nandi-Ndaitwah was in Oranjemund on a familiarisation visit.

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has hailed the potential of agriculture to empower Namibians and reiterated the significance of self-sufficiency.

Nandi-Ndaitwah on Friday toured the Roots Agriculture Village at Stampriet in the Hardap Region.

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah lauded the 13th Cultural Festival of the |Hai-|Khaua Traditional Authority, saying the theme, "My Clan, My Culture, My Identity," under which the celebrations were held highlights Namibia's rich cultural heritage and diversity. 

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged the University of Namibia (UNAM) to introduce a faculty of agriculture at the Rudu Campus.

Speaking at the UNAM Rundu Campus graduation ceremony, the Vice President said such a move would spur development in the country.

Swapo Party Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has informed the party's Central Committee members that they were meeting at the backdrop of a major event to unfold on the country's political landscape. 

She was addressing the first ordinary Central Committee meeting of the year.

Swapo Party Politburo and Central Committee member, Lucia Witbooi, has urged party members to campaign for an outright majority in the November national elections. 

She made the call at the opening of the ||Kharas Swapo Party regional executive meeting in Keetmanshoop.

The Swapo Party Central Committee clarified its decision about its presidential candidate for the November 2024 elections. 

The Swapo Party will elect its president to replace the late Dr. Hage Geingob at the Extraordinary Congress set to take place on April 19, 2025. 

This means that Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah remains the party's sole candidate for the November National Presidential Election.
