President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has emphasised Namibia's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Russia through the Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The leader of the Uukwaludhi Traditional Authority, Omukwaniilwa gwuuKwaaludhi Shikongo Taapopi, has said the traditional authority is in full support of President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, saying her ascent to the presidency is a blueprint for future generations.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah opened the first Cabinet meeting, reminding the ministers of the resolve to curb corruption without delays.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah said service delivery should also not be compromised and urged them to start working.

Palestine has extended a request to the Namibian government for the two countries to open diplomatic missions. 

Riyad Malki, the Special Envoy of the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, delivered the request to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House, following her inauguration.

Namibia, Portugal, and the European Union have reaffirmed cooperation in various fields.

Portugal's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nuno Sampaio, represented both his country and the EU at President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's inauguration.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says elected leaders have the responsibility to ensure that they consolidate democracy, peace, stability, and good governance in the country as well as expedite the delivery of quality public services to all Namibians. 

The Vice-President of Ghana, Dr. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and that of Uganda, Jessica Alupo, held courtesy meetings with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Opoku-Agyemang and Alupo led the Ghanaian and Ugandan delegations to attend the inauguration of President Nandi-Ndaitwah on Friday.

African women leaders continue to celebrate President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's victory, highlighting the significance of her leadership on the continent.

Among the notable figures in attendance was former South African Cabinet Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who visited the President at State House. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed Namibia's commitment to working alongside fellow SADC countries to advance the region's shared developmental aspirations for the benefit of current and future generations.

Venezuela is looking forward to strengthening ties with Namibia in the areas of energy, health, education and agriculture.

Venezuela's Foreign Affairs Minister Yván Gil was among the foreign dignitaries who witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
