The founder and executive chairman of Youth in Agriculture has urged Namibia to reduce its dependence on food imports by increasing its own food production.

Ndatulumukwa Haikali called for the transformation of the agriculture industry and for more youth to take an interest in food production.

Non-governmental organizations will continue to help the Namibian government end hunger by the year 2030.

In this context, the World Food Programme and the Namibia Agronomic Board signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to improve food access and affordability.

A local shop in Rundu, Kavango East Region, donated food and merchandise to the Cocoma Primary School, located some 160 kilometres east of Rundu.

The donation follows a request by the school principal for assistance to the vulnerable children living in a deplorable hostel at the school.
