The former Public Service Chairperson (PSC), Salmaan Jacobs, will have to wait longer to hear his fate following a third postponement of his sentencing for a corruption conviction in the Keetmanshoop Regional Court.
The Office of the Prime Minister has sworn in Michael Mutonga and Habatte Doeses as Public Service Commissioners, filling two long-standing vacancies in the Public Service Commission structures.
The Minister in the Presidency, Christine ||Hoëbes tabled a motion in the National Assembly to appoint Michael Mutonga and Ludmilla Doëses as Commissioners of the Public Service Commission.
The Public Service Commission is perceived by some as a body reluctant to solve cases tasked to it.
A total of N$1.2 million was raised for the COP27 conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The conference will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from November 6–18.
