The National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) Gobabis Municipality Councillor, Elvire Theron, has resigned with immediate effect.

This was confirmed by the town mayor, Melba Tjozongoro.

Tjozongoro says Theron sent a letter of resignation to the Chief Executive Officer.

Gobabis Mayor, Elvire Theron, is pleased with the progress made at the town in terms of housing provision.

During a site visit, Theron told nbc News that more than 150 beneficiaries will move into their new homes by April of next year.

Leaders at all levels in Omaheke Region have called on the youth to form cooperatives, develop innovative ideas, and add value to what they produce to become successful entrepreneurs.

These remarks were made during the official launch of the Omaheke Regional Youth Business Trade Expo at Gobabis.
