Ovaherero and Ovambanderu communities gathered at Swakopmund to commemorate victims of the 1904–1908 genocide.

This year's Central Committee Meeting was not the same without its Party President, who died last month. 

A sombre moment could be observed as fellow party members sang political songs in remembrance of the fallen giant. 

The leaders and residents of the Otjinene constituency joined the rest of the country in remembrance of the late President Hage Geingob, whom they describe as a leader of note, a people's president, and someone who always stood by his word.

The National Assembly held a remembrance ceremony for the late Ignatius Shixwameni who died of a heart attack at parliament last year November. 

The remembrance ceremony was also aimed at creating awareness of prevention measures and how to handle heart attacks.
