The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security says birth registration is a human right. Hence, parents should ensure that they register their children as soon as they are born. 

The Swapo Party in the ||Kharas Region introduced its newly assigned and reassigned leadership, with Lucia Witbooi as Chairperson.

The Swapo Party MP Lucia Witbooi has withdrawn from the race for the Party's Deputy-Secretary General position.

Witbooi however remains a candidate for the Swapo Party Central Committee.
