The Vice President, Lucia Witbooi, has called on graduates to embrace lifelong learning and innovation given the rapidly changing world driven by technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

Witbooi was speaking at the 25th graduation ceremony of the International Training College class of 2026.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has emphasised that the government remains committed to addressing challenges facing marginalised communities through collaborative planning, evidence-based decision-making, and sustainable interventions that will restore affected persons' dignities.

The Vice President has appealed to workplaces, including government ministries and agencies, to create wellness spaces for employees. 

The Vice President emphasises that education continues to be a national priority and advocates for enhanced collaboration to tackle challenges and create a brighter future for students.

The Vice President, Lucia Witbooi, has reiterated efforts to address the country's housing backlog that requires coordinated private and public sector collaboration. 

The Vice President says despite the government's efforts in expanding services that are meant for the well-being of people with disabilities and marginalised communities, it is unfortunate that these groups still face challenges that hinder them from participating actively in the social development of the country. <

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has called on churches to take active roles in their communities.

Witbooi made the call during the World Day of Prayer for Women, held at the AFM Restoration Center.
