The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information, Communication and Technology has expressed satisfaction with internet connectivity at health facilities in the Ohangwena Region.

Most health facilities in the Kunene Region have access to information and communication technology.

The region has three district hospitals, three health centres, 28 clinics, 222 outreach points and one health point.

The National Council Standing Committee on Education, Science, ICT and Youth Development Chairperson, Bethuel Tjaveondja, says he is pleased with oversight engagements that have been undertaken and aimed to strengthen the quality of education in the country.

Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Minister Emma Theofelus, launched the National Cybersecurity Incident Management Guidelines at an awareness event in Ondangwa, urging collaboration between the public and private sectors to build national cyber resilience.

Many individuals, especially those approaching retirement, have become increasingly vulnerable to cybersecurity threats. 

The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Menesia Muinjo, said the national broadcaster is stepping up efforts to support cybersecurity awareness as digital threats continue to grow.
