19TH NEDBANK DESERT DASH LAUNCHED IN WINDHOEK

Nedbank Desert Dash, the epic mountain bike race that takes place in the Namib Desert. This year marks the 19th edition of the race, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Namibian athletes living with disabilities have lauded their inclusion in the 2023 Nedbank Citi Dash Run, with some calling it a dream come true and a step in the right direction by the event's organisers.
 

The third edition of the Nedbank Citi Dash Run, a sporting event that saw elite long-distance runners as well as amateurs competing in the five and ten kilometre runs, was held at Zoo Park in Windhoek's Independence Avenue on Sunday.
 

Nedbank Namibia employees demand salary increment

Following a disagreement over salary increments between Netbank Namibia and its employees on Thursday, leading to a demonstration by the employees, the Namibia Financial Institutions Union (NAFINU) and Nedbank Namibia have finally reached an agreement after a roundtable discussion.

Both parties have agreed to further discuss the employees' demands regarding salary increments and other obstacles they have raised.

Vocational training could be the solution to improve quality of education- Hei

The Managing Director of High Economic Intelligence, Salomo Hei believes vocational training could be part of the solution to improve the quality of education in the country.

Salomo Hei addressed a Nedbank economic breakfast panel discussion, held at Swakopmund.

Hei says Namibia has worked hard to improve access to basic education, but there is still significant work to be done.

It is imperative that government ensures education is adequately resourced he added.

Vendors at Swakopmund Nedbank Food Festival commend organisers for platform

Vendors at the Swakopmund Nedbank Food Festival have commended the organizers for empowering them.

Most of the vendors were negatively affected by the lockdown regulations of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years.

The Nedbank Food Festival in Swakopmund attracted hundreds of visitors over the past three days.

This is the fourth year the festival has been on the town's December event calendar.

Foodies did not lack, as the event offered options.

The Argentinian grill was among the favorites while the local Kapana was also sought after.
