Baby's body found in a bin at Arandis

The body of an eight to nine-month-old baby was discovered in a skip bin at Arandis on Friday. It alleged that an employee of Arandis Town council who was cleaning discovered the body and alerted the Namibian Police. No suspect has been identified. A 28-year-old man, Raynes Raimanu Bekeur was fatally stabbed with a broken bottle on the left side of the neck. The incident happened at Mondesa on Saturday. It is alleged that the deceased was stabbed during a fight and died on the spot. A 26-year-old suspect was arrested on the scene. The deceased's next of kin have been informed. A 23-year-old female was raped on Saturday, at an open area between Vrede Rede Primary School and Festus Gonteb Primary School in Mondesa. It is alleged that the victim was on her way home from a friend's house in Tamariskia on foot. She alleged that a man approached her asking for a cellphone and she started fighting him, the other three men came and attacked her. They pinned her on the ground and the two suspects had sexual intercourse with her. The unknown suspects fled the scene thereafter. Police investigations continue.
