One murder, two attempted murders, a rape and attempted rape are among the 13 incidents reported to the Namibian Police's weekly crime report. Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says a man died a day later after being cut by a zinc sheet while fighting another man at Olukula Village on Friday. The suspect has been arrested and the deceased identified as Haikela Shikongo. On the same day at Onandjaba in the Omusati Region, a man chased and stabbed another man in the stomach after finding him in his room with his girlfriend. The victim was transferred from Oshikuku Catholic Hospital to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital were he is receiving treatment. He is in a stable condition and the 43-year-old suspect will be charged at Outapi on Monday. At Omahahi Village of the Ohangwena Region on Saturday, a husband hacked his wife with an axe before hanging himself. He has been identified as Hesekiel Naftal. A security guard was assaulted, raped and robbed of her cellphone at Otjiwanda Secondary School in Grootfontein on Friday. At Outjo on the same day, a 13-year-old girl got away and outrun her would-be rapist, after he had undressed her at knifepoint. He is yet to be arrested. Police are investigating all incidents.
