Using someone's artwork, literature and cultural items without permission or acknowledging the original creator is illegal in terms of the Copyright Act of 1994. It can earn you a fine of up to N$20 000 or a jail term of three years if the original owner reports you for copyright infringements. This was said at the review workshop on copyright law and the review process with media practitioners.
