The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources is still struggling to curb over-fishing in the Kavango River. It says the river's fish stocks have dropped drastically in recent years and this is affecting food security in rural communities. The Ministry is holding a two-day stakeholders workshop at Rundu to inform and consult the regional governments and traditional authorities on the effects of illegal fishing.
