Namibia and 18 other associate observer countries to the Conference of Community of Portuguese Language Countries, have welcomed the signing of the mobility agreement. The mobility agreement aims to ensure trade and other exchanges continue among the Portuguese-speaking countries even during the COVID-19 pandemic. President Hage Geingob addressed the conference in Luanda, Angola on 17 July.
