Namibia is optimistic to leverage its abundantly available renewable energy resources to reduce dependence and consequently eliminate energy imports. With this in mind, the country is embarking on exploiting green hydrogen and ammonia energy, which could be one of the largest and potentially one of the transformational projects on the African continent, if not the world. The presidential advisor on economy James Mnyupe, in an interview with CNBC Africa, revealed this ambitious multi-billion dollar project that could kick-off as early as July this year.
