Minister of Health Dr Kalumbi Shangula this morning reported that Namibia has one more positive COVID-19 case bringing the country's total cases to 32. The country has 17 recoveries and 15 active cases. The new case is of a 31-year-old female from Walvis Bay who went to a private doctor with flu-like symptoms. The symptoms started on 1 June. She does not have a history of travel and it is not known if she was in contact with an infected person. Meanwhile, the truck driver who tested positive in Zambia was tested and is in isolation in Grootfontein. He was tested in Namibia and tested negative. He will remain in isolation to complete the quarantine period of 14 days. So far, 5 682 samples were tested. Currently, 713 people are in quarantine facilities countrywide. Shangula said case number 22 is still in ICU on a ventilator but is starting to breathe on his own. He is in a stable condition.
