Namibia's fruit and vegetables import dependency to reduce

Namibia could significantly reduce its import dependency on fruits and vegetables by 2025, as the Roots Agriculture project plans to produce 35% of the country's fresh produce by then. Since October 2019, Namibia has imported more than N$400 million worth of fruit, at a monthly average of N$31 million. Roots Development is a project located in Stampriet, Hardap Region, which offers community-based living with a sustainable future.
