The water level of the newly constructed Neckartal Dam in the //Kharas Region continue to rise, and this morning it stood at 85,19% full. The inflow rate of water now stands at 743,7 cubic metres. NAMWATER allowed the public to visit the dam from 14h00 this afternoon, under strict condition, including testing all persons entering the security gate for alcohol, as well as the mandatory wearing of face masks. Neckartal Dam is located in the Berseba Constituency and is the largest water storage dam in Namibia with a carrying capacity of about 960 million cubic metres, three times the size of Hardap Dam near Mariental in the Hardap Region.
