The Office of the Judiciary earned more than N$2,3 million from bail money after accused persons released on bail failed to show up for their scheduled court appearances. This was contained in the 2018/19 annual report for the Office of the Judiciary, which noted that the stated amount is 93% higher than from accused people in this way, in the previous year.
