Omusati Police Regional Commander, Commissioner Titus Shikongo says 80 rape cases and 19 murders were reported in the region during 2020. He further says 333 cases of domestic violence cases were reported. A total of 64 suicides, of which 56 by hanging and eight by firearms, were recorded. Of the suicides only six were women. Grievous bodily harm assault cases stand at 453 and 366 cases of common assault were reported.
