Defence Minister Rear Admiral Peter Hafeni Vilho warned that reducing his ministry's budget would render Namibia into a failed state. Rear Admiral Vilho said this when he motivated his budget allocation of more than N$6 billion. But opposition MPs reacted angrily to his statement, accusing him of misusing the powers of the army to intimidate them.
