It is alleged that the driver of a Volkswagen vehicle was driving from Onethindi to Oshigambo when he collided side-on with an Isuzu that was travelling in the opposite direction, which resulted in a head-on collision with a white Toyota. The incident occurred on Friday, 11 December at around 21h00 at Okambonde Village on Onethindi-Eenhana road. One of the drivers sustained serious injuries and one of the passengers, identified as 28-year-old Andreas Matheus died. On Sunday, 13 December at about 02h30, outside Kalkfeld towards Otjiwarongo on the C33 main road the driver of a white Toyota bakkie failed to negotiate a curve and lost control then overturned. There were seven occupants, including the 21-year-old driver. A 41-year-old passenger, Eva Ingrid Tjandero, died on the scene and others sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Otjiwarongo State Hospital.
