A police officer died in car accident on the Otjiwarongo-Okahandja road today. The car, belonging to the VIP Directorate was trying to overtake a City Golf. According to the police, the driver of the VIP vehicle did not realise that the Golf was indicating to get off the road on the right, resulting in the VIP car hitting the Golf and overturned. The Golf had two passengers, while the VIP vehicle had three occupants who were all police officers. The three officers were travelling from Rundu on their way to Windhoek, The deceased has not yet been identified.
