President Geingob appoints nine new ambassadors

President Hage Geingob has appointed nine new ambassadors to serve Namibia in various countries. Geingob has warned Namibians to avoid a second wave of COVID-19. He has asked the new diplomats to align their work with goals emphasised in the last week's Cabinet Retreat. Geingob says he is confident the new diplomats will serve Namibia with confidence, uphold and defend its interests, sovereignty and integrity. He has asked them to attract investors to Namibia. The President says building a Namibian House requires leaders to consider every Namibian they serve as their boss. Margaret Mensah-Willams is the new ambassador to the United States of America, Martin Andjamba goes to Germany, Lebbius Tobias to Tanzania and Cletius Sipapela to the Republic of Congo. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has been appointed high commissioner to Ghana, Mbapeua Muvangua ambassador to Brazil, Nicklaas Kandjii ambassador to Zimbabwe, and Herman Diamonds is the ambassador to Malaysia. Elvis Shiweda is the ambassador to Senegal, Julia Chanduru-Imene to Switzerland, and the United Nations Office in Geneva and Mekondjo Kaapanda-Girnus to Belgium and the EU.
