President Geingob expresses condolences to the family of Dr Iyambo Indongo

President Hage Geingob expressed his condolences to the family of the late Dr Iyambo Indongo who died on Monday. The 83-year-old died in Grootfontein hospital. A stalwart of SWAPO, Dr Indongo joined the party in 1960 and played a role in the establishment of the health and social services sector in exile. President Geingob said the late Indongo will be remembered for his immense contribution to the national liberation and Namibia's health sector before and after independence. Dr Indongo, says the president, was among the first Namibian medical practitioners who recognised the importance of a structured health care system within the SWAPO party. He said Namibia has lost an astonishing national leader.
