President Geingob extends gratitude to mothers

Today is Mother's Day. The day is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May to honour the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. President Hage Geingob, in a message to mothers on social media, extended his sincere gratitude to mothers for performing the most difficult job of caring, rearing and moulding children. He said with COVID-19, Mother's Day 2020 is celebrated under difficult circumstances. But the day reminds us strongly why we should take time to recognise the extraordinary role mothers play in creating a better society.
