President Hage Geingob has pardoned and reprieved the sentences of 1 023 offenders currently serving at Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) facilities across the country. President Geingob authorised the inmates' release, in commemoration of Namibia's 30th Independence Anniversary in line with the Constitution. Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Frans Kapofi made the announcement, today.
