Students from the Hifikepunye Pohamba campus demand the removal of a lecturer

Students from the Hifikepunye Pohamba campus at Ongwediva in the Oshana region held a peaceful demonstration to demand the removal of a lecturer. The UNAM students want Angelina Amushigamo removed from campus with immediate effect. The students allege that she had been victimising with some having cried after the alleged abuse. They also accused her of failing students, especially in Integrated Media Technology Education and Project Based Learning. She is also accused of using vulgar language and being unfriendly to students. Reading the petition, Student Representative Council Vice President Shiweva Ishitile said students continue to fail under the supervision of the accused lecturer, but campus management is doing little to address the situation. Assistant Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Sacky Iipinge received the petition and promised to forward it to the university management.
