SWAPO in the Khomas Region said the video that is circulating on social media depicting the demolishment of illegal structures in the informal settlements in Windhoek, is an old news item. It was broadcast by One Africa Television in 2018 and made its way back into the public domain, allegedly distributed by opponents of the party in their desperate attempt to make their failing election campaigns relevant. The party leadership made these remarks in a statement today. The leadership further said, "these parties with no clear programme of action for the masses of our people are now depending on recycling old news items to discredit the mighty SWAPO Party and to stay in the race. The party said, the opponents are failing dismally as their so-called manifestos are being seen for what they are: diatribes concocted by political novices who have no idea what governance involves.
