The Minister of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development has called on Namibians to buy local products as a means to grow the country's economy. Making a ministerial statement in the National Assembly, Lucia Iipumbu said her ministry started the Buy Local Goods Initiative earlier this month, as a means to improve trade. Ipumbu told Parliament that the country's economy was adversely impacted by COVID-19.
