Members of the Association of Unemployed Artisans and Skills Development Hub will start renovating some of the old dilapidated Government buildings. This follows an agreement between the association and the Ministry of Works to allow unemployed youths to try their skills while getting some payment in return. Works Minister, John Mutorwa held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of the construction. Mutorwa indicated that this will be a pilot project where four Government houses will be renovated starting with houses situated in front of the old State House in the city centre. The association has over 6 000 members and so far, 53 have selected to do the renovation.
