The Director of Education, Arts and Culture in the Kavango East region, Fanuel Kapapero, believes interruptions in schools due to COVID-19 will be minimal if more children get vaccinated. Kapapero said this when he launched the Rundu Secondary school vaccination campaign, which is part of a country-wide campaign that started two weeks ago. According to health statistics, only 1 297 learners out of the more than 70 000 eligible pupils have been vaccinated in the Kavango East Region.
