Women in Road Safety conference held to strengthen awareness

In an effort to decrease road crashes, Namibia has added the voice of women to aid in road safety. Statistics show that 2 891 men were injured while 370 men died in road crashes compared to 1 648 women injured and 122 female deaths this year alone. It is against this background that the Women in Roads Safety conference, a first for Namibia, was held in Windhoek to strengthen the role women can play in promoting road safety awareness and education.
