The Seychelles-based Danny Faure Foundation has expressed interest in collaborating with Namibian schools in a wide range of areas.

Founder and former President of Seychelles, Danny Faure, met with President Hage Geingob and Cabinet Ministers at State House for discussions on Tuesday.

The Danny Faure Foundation was founded on strategic pillars such as ocean governance, the blue economy, and youth empowerment, with the goal of contributing to global efforts to protect ocean health and empower young leaders.

Faustina Caley, Namibia's Deputy Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, says the Danny Faure Foundation has asked the government to identify coastal schools for twinning arrangements with counterparts in Seychelles.

The government would assess the proposal, Caley says, including the development of exchange programs between Namibian and Seychellois learners under a memorandum of understanding.

Faure was also accompanied on his visit to Namibia by executives from the Trade and Development Bank.
