The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) scooped the Africa Diamond Arrow Award for doing the most for conservation and tourism in Namibia.
The Diamond Arrow Award is the highest level of recognition that can be awarded by Professional Market Research (PMR) Africa.
The PMR Africa Awards recognize excellence in various industries in Namibia, and winners are selected through a rigorous process of surveys and research.
NWR's Manager of Corporate Communications, Nelson Ashipala, says the award is a testament to NWR's commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism.
"It comes at a time when NWR is busy reviewing its conservation efforts. We are very happy that we have achieved this and that we are able to go further. It is always fulfilling to be recognized for doing something good. Therefore, we are thrilled to receive this award and to be recognized for our efforts in promoting conservation and sustainable tourism in Namibia. We will continue our efforts in conservation."
The company has also partnered with conservation organizations to support conservation efforts in Namibia.
NWR's commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism includes the implementation of eco-friendly initiatives such as solar power and waste management systems and the promotion of responsible tourism practices to guests.
In addition, NWR operates several campsites, lodges, and resorts across Namibia, all of which are situated in or near protected areas, including national parks and reserves.
